According to statistics released by the Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI), the US steel service center shipped 3.4 million short tons of steel products in February, falling by 7.9% year on year.
Besides, the stocks of steel products at the US steel service center were at 8.5 million short tons at the end of February, down by 2.6% from a month ago and falling by 4.6% year on year.
Meanwhile, Canadian steel service center shipped 463,100 short tons of steel products in February, decreasing by 14.5 year on year.
At the end of February, the inventories of steel products at Canadian steel service center totaled 1.8 million short tons, increasing by 2.4% year on year while down by 0.2% from the previous month.
